Heat Exposure Control Plan

During times of heat, the risk of heat stress-related illnesses and injuries on motion picture and performing arts worksites increases. Having an adequate heat exposure control plan (ECP) for your production is vital.

With input from WorkSafeBC and the industry, Actsafe has developed a Heat ECP template that gives employers a comprehensive framework on what is needed to properly assess, develop, and implement an ECP which will help reduce the risk of working in hot conditions specific to entertainment production worksites.

CONTENTS OF TEMPLATE

When working in hot conditions, this editable template provides employers with important information on:

  • regulatory compliance,
  • methods for measuring, evaluating, and assessing high-risk activities,
  • procedures for monitoring worker’s health,
  • training workers on working in hot conditions,
  • reporting procedures.

Download the Heat ECP template document in Microsoft Word format. Use this as a starting point to develop an ECP specific to your production and worksite.
