Effective January 2, 2024, a new permanent provincial set of Hours-of-Service (HOS) rules, known as the MPI Rules, was implemented in British Columbia (see Compliance Circular #06-2023). The MPI Rules are a specific set of HOS rules that must be adhered to by production carriers and the drivers they employ while operating in British Columbia.
