Safety Board Printables

A safety board is a key communication tool that helps keep crew and performers informed, aware, and empowered to perform their duties safely. By displaying essential health and safety information in a visible location, it ensures quick access to critical documents, emergency contacts, and safety updates. This helps workers, supervisors, and joint health and safety committees maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Below is a list of documents and postings that should be included on your workplace safety board. These resources help meet regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety.

Best Practices

  1. OHS Regulation and Related Materials: Post a notice that tells workers where they can access a copy of the Act and the regulations for review.
  2. Notice to Workers: This notice offers concise guidelines on how to prevent injuries and what to do if injured. It also explains how to claim compensation and who to call for assistance when dealing with your claim.
  3. Safety on the Job is Everyone’s Business: This poster outlines worker, supervisor, and employer’s general responsibilities.
  4. Basic Rights of Workers in Canada: This occupational health and safety legislation outlines three important rights all workers have to stay healthy and safe on the job.
  5. Occupational Health and Safety Policy Statement: This document is created by your studio or production. It must be signed and dated before posting. Contact Actsafe’s Safety Advisors for templates or questions.
  6. Emergency Contacts Sheet
  7. Evacuation Plan / Muster Point Map: This map should be specific to the production or studio location. It must clearly outline evacuation routes, designated exit points, and assembly (muster) areas to ensure everyone knows where to go in the event of an emergency.
  8. Joint Health and Safety Committee Member Poster
  9.  Joint Health and Safety Committee Meeting Minutes
  10. Workplace Bullying and Harassment: This poster must accompany the studio or production policy.
  11. First Aid Drill Record: Use this template to record each drill, capturing essential details such as the scenario description, names and roles of participants etc. This structured approach helps refine your team’s skills and ensure readiness for real emergencies.
