Learning outcomes
Upon completing the OFA Intermediate course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to assess and treat workplace injuries and medical emergencies, provide immediate and sustained care, and effectively manage emergency situations in compliance with WorkSafeBC occupational first aid regulations.

- Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for adults (CPR Level A)
- Airway breathing circulation (ABC) reassessments
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of a designated first aid attendant
- The WorkSafeBC regulatory requirement for first aid record keeping
- Managing airway emergencies due to fluid
- How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- How to manage bleeding
- Clearing obstructed airways
- Identifying and managing Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
