CANCELLATION INFORMATION

Actsafe’s cancellation information varies for each course and workshop. Please see below for further details on the cancellation information for each one.

NOTE: Actsafe may cancel a course in the event of insufficient enrollment or an unexpected instructor emergency. If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, participants will have the option to either reschedule for an alternative course date without any additional cost or receive a full refund.

Cancellation Information by Course and Workshop

If you plan to cancel a course or workshop, cancellation notices must be received within Actsafe’s office hours (9:00 AM-5:00 PM). After 5:00 PM the notice will be received the following business day. To cancel, email info@actsafe.ca or call 604-733-4682.

Leavitt Machinery Courses
If you are unable to attend any Leavitt Machinery courses, you must give Actsafe a minimum of 5 business days’ notice (prior to the course date) to qualify for a refund, credit*, or rebooking without penalty.

Aerial and Scissor Lift

Forklift

Fall Protection

Skid Steer

Telehandler

CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS

Within 5 business days or more of the course date: 100% refund or credit

Within 2-4 business days of the course date: No refund, 50% of the course cost to rebook

Experienced $78.75 (incl. tax)

Inexperienced $131.25 (incl. tax)

Fall Protection $52.50 (incl. tax)

Within 24 hours of the course date: No refund, 100% course fee to rebook

No-show: No, refund, 100% course fee to rebook

Improper clothing or incomplete online theory: No refund, 100% course fee to rebook

* Credits must be used within a year of the original registration date.
Felcan Workshops
If you are unable to attend any Felcan workshops, you must give Actsafe a minimum of 3 business days notice (prior to the course date) to qualify for rebooking without penalty.

Within 1-2 business days of the workshop date: 50% of workshop fee to rebook

No-show: No refund, 100% workshop fee to rebook

* Credits must be used within a year of the original registration date.
* If the date of the Felcan workshop you have registered for has low enrollment, Actsafe reserves the right to cancel the course and will notify participants 3 business days prior to the scheduled workshop date.
ScreenBC Courses
If you are unable to attend any Screen BC courses, you must give Actsafe a minimum of 3 business days notice (prior to the course date) to qualify for a refund, credit*, or rebooking without penalty.

Motion Picture Industry Orientation – Facilitated Session

Within 1-2 business days of the course date: $75 fee to rebook

No-show: No refund, and 100% of the course fee to rebook

* Credits must be used within a year of the original registration date.
* If the course date of the MPPIA course you have registered for has low enrollment, Actsafe reserves the right to cancel the course and will notify participants 3 business days prior to the scheduled course date.
Free Actsafe Courses
If you are unable to attend any free Actsafe courses, you must give Actsafe a minimum of 3 business days’ notice (prior to the course date) to qualify for rebooking without penalty.

No-show: No refund, but may rebook at a $45 fee

* Credits must be used within a year of the original registration date.
* If the course date of the free Actsafe course you have registered for has low enrollment, Actsafe reserves the right to cancel the course and will notify participants 3 business days prior to the scheduled course date.
Paid Actsafe Courses
If you are unable to attend any paid Actsafe courses, you must give Actsafe a minimum of 3 business days’ notice (prior to the course date) to qualify for a refund, credit*, or rebooking without penalty.

Paid Actsafe courses include:

Occupational First Aid – Level 1

Occupational First Aid – Level 3

3 or more business days from the course date: 100% refund, credit*, or rebook without penalty

Within 1-2 business days of the course date: No refund, and 100% of the course fee to rebook

No-show: No refund, and 100% of the course fee to rebook

OFA Level 3: CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS

30 days or more from the course date: 100% refund, credit*, or rebook without penalty

Less than 30 days: Pay 100% of course fee to rebook

No-show: Pay 100% of course fee to rebook
